Tahmina- newest board member of the American Birding Association
In a delightful update, I’m thrilled to share that I am now the newest board member of the American Birding Association!
From immigration lawyer, to being honored by the psychological association, to now stepping into a formal leadership role in the birding world-what an unexpected and joy-filled journey this has been.
I am deeply grateful to the ABA for finding me, inviting me, scheduling and conducting multiple interviews, shepherding my nomination through countless steps, and ultimately voting to welcome me into a group of truly distinguished and experienced birders who are leading this remarkable organization.
Overflowing with gratitude to the universe, and eagerly looking forward to seeing how 2026 unfolds.
The American Birding Association is a national organization, and its mission and vision resonate deeply with me. I realize I have already been living much of this work, and now I get to do it with even more intention and purpose.
Mission Statement
The American Birding Association (ABA) makes birding better by providing knowledge, sharing experiences, and building community.
Vision Statement
Birders are powerful advocates for conservation, community, and the benefits of birding, because birding is fun, healthy, and a force for good.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the current board members for taking the time to vote me on to the board- I’m truly honored.
